Overcoming Fear: BCFS & PN Diagnosis

I resigned (or at least the 99.9%) my fear of A-S. That was on 12-22-09, the 3rd and final emg ect... I was dx'd with BCFS and mild PN due to diabetes. The twitching has subsided quite a bit over the past couple of months, but I still have plenty of it. My latest physical disaster is my left arm. My wrist and elbow both feel like they are broken when I lift an object, like a jug of milk ect... The muscles in my forearm hurt really bad. My whole arm feels heavy and weak. The pain and joints dont hurt to do pushups, but it does cause my bicep to buzz like no other. It makes it feel very weak later in the day, and for a few days afterwards. Strange thing about the pushups, is that it doesnt hurt the tricep, which is 90% of the muscle worked. Doesnt affect my chest either. The bicep has been having the buzzing and bubbling feeling for a few months now. When it comes to the electrical buzzing feeling, I am experiencing that much more now than in the past. Something very weird happened last night. I woke up after being asleep for about 3 hours, and had the head to toe electrical buzz from hell. I havent had the head buzz for awhile. It was very strong. I didnt move at all so I could try to figure out what was happening. Agter about 30 seconds, I yawned and heard a clicking sound in my sinus area. Puff, the buzzing stopped. I know that doesnt make sense because a sinus issue wouldnt have anything to do with the buzzing. I have woken up in the past with the same clicking sound in my sinus area. Not pressure being released sound, but the same sound as your teeth clicking together. I have also had a lot of abdominal pains lately. Not sharp or shooting pains, but dull ones that are of and on. The whole strip below the stomach & above the stomach. I feel it all around to my back and my scapulas. There was a muscle in my lower stomach that looked like someone grabbed a handful from the inside and twisted. My internal medicine Dr. told me he didnt know what was going on. Told me flat out he couldnt help me. Is any of these symptoms consistent with bcfs of pn. Im mostly worried about my arm. Its basically useless for anything except basic task now. I wont even go into the finger twitches....

If you have been diagnosed with neuropathy and diabetes which is well known to cause neuropathy, I think you should explore whether your symptoms could be related to your neuropathy. This means speaking with someone who specializes in treating neuropathy as opposed to a jack-of-all-trades neurologist. Maybe you have already done this. I give this advice because I have many of the symptoms you describe. I have seen a neurologist who specifically treats neuropathies caused by both immune-related problems and diabetes. I know he actually tries things to help people rather than just giving them a diagnosis. He is not totally sure what is causing my symptoms so addressing the cause is difficult unless I am willing to do something involving some risk, which I don't think is necessary at this point. But if he was more confident about the cause being something like diabetes, I know he would offer some sort of treatment to address the problem.
