One Year in - EMG Clean!

I am happy to report that I have made it through one year of this nightmare and finally had my first emg and it was clean or in the words of my neuro "Beautiful"! I was very pleased because after all the other testing I have had that was the last piece of the puzzle and now hopefully I can do what he says and go out and live my life and not worry about the twitches. Hopefully it will give others the peace of mind to know that even after a year of twitching the emg was clean with nothing sinister. I am grateful to everyone on this board for all thier encouragement and wisdom in dealing with this stuff and even though I just recently joined reading all of your posts over the first several months of this helped me immensely. I hope I can do the same for others on this board as well. Mary
 
Mary,I am so happy for you. Your support here is much needed and appreciated. The getting on with your life is so important. I'm even trying to do that even with my emg pending. You just have to.Krackersones
 
He said that the twitching was benign (BFS) and that I could stop worryng about it once and for all and go live my life and ignore the twitching. He has no explanation or cause for the twitching other than that it is not harmful. He said a lot of people have these and most ignore them. He told me to call if I had any questions and made me a follow up appointment for December. Probably to review my meds as I am on klonopin and gabapentin. He was very unconcerned about the twitching and nothing showed up on the emg as far as fasiculations and the nerve conduction was totally normal. He did my whole body from the top of my arm to the bottoms of my feet so I guess after having this a year I even have to believe nothing is wrong so now I will look forward to being the old me again in the new me's body.Mary
