Normal Twitching During Sleep?

i have noticed w/my kids that they will sometimes twitch a finger or limb while they are sleeping. i realize this can happen when they first fall asleep, but throughout the night? i have read where this is normal. any insight? THANKS!

Normal, absolutely, it even happens in animals.

I think this is ordinary dream response, during dreaming, the body attempts to lock down all muscles, but isn't 100 percent effective in anyone.
