Nocturnal Myoclonus with BFS

Hi,Have had nocturnal myoclonus with this relapse of BFS---1st time for them. Sometimes, last night, for example, I get very little sleep b/c they seem to happen every time I drift off. I noticed them on "forehead" which is a new place (like when you raise your eyebrows) anyone have them there? Also, in the stomach are, I think, (feels like somewhere in that area - hard to tell, might be back area.) Anyone have them here? These really scare me, as I can't get back to sleep. Just when I think they're gone or a lot better I'll have a real bad night. Anyone? Please---thanks, Denise

i've had lots of different "jerks" when falling asleep. not in the forehead exactly, but lots of big ones other places. a couple of times, i've had both shoulders shrug at the same time on their own. it was weird. it didn't worry me too much.

I've also had nocturnal jerks--even on the face as well. They are just another part of the package----don't worry. I had them for a while and don't at this time. But who knows, it can recur at times. Don't you just feel like we have to the be strangest people?????

thanks so much....one more question; do you sometimes get them "continiously" for a couple of nights, i.e. almost every time you "drift off" causing you to only get a couple hours of sleep? That's what happened last night. It seems to happen for a couple of nights every now and then and then, thank goodness gets better for a while, (or maybe I'm just more tired and sleep throught them.) Thanks, Denise

Until I began using prozac and buspar, I never slept much at night and I would wake up in that morning with shoulders jerking, my back, a leg, you name it. I don't do it at night anymore, but during the day right before I take my next dose of Buspar, I get a little "jerky". Hope this helps you some.CIndy

Hi Denise!I have also had nocturnal jerks. For instance I might have them for 3 or 4 nights in a row and then they dissapear for while! It is weird but I have learnt to live with them. The thing that really annoys me is my 24/7 twitching in my calves!!!!Warm regardsSandra
