no prob...... i hope you get over the hump... bfs sucks but worrying on top of it is the worse,,, the mind starts to get the best of you.. it did to me... it takes time but finally coming to terms with bfs,,,, if you been told you have,,, but clean emg is not only no als but it rules out any fatal or degenerating muscle disease or nerve disease.

take care

Leigh,

I was told a clean EMG is the next best thing to a good neuro's clinical exam. So, for all the newbies out there.... if your neuro passed on giving you an EMG it's because a neuro really feels a good clinical exam is best for ruling out ALS.

I was given an EMG because I insisted on one- and I was paying out of pocket.

But in your case Leigh..... you're good to go!! :D)

Ditto to WT

Exam is much more important. Emg's confirm a dx's good or bad. I have said this before, they try to rule OUT als not rule it in. I have seen 5 neuro's and all of them said the same thing, they know als when it walks in the door.
