Hi, I'm new and I just posted and thank you StephG22 for your reply. I feel a little more at ease after reading posts on this site. However, I am still a little worried.
Some of the twitches people describe as jerky i guess. My twitches are no very jerky-they are somewhat subtle, though I can feel them and they are like a buzz or a thing running through me real quickly.
I get them in my: calves (mainly)
shoulders
ankle by heel
It's like a little bubble feeling or something. I'm worried because some of the people that I read about described their twitches as jerky and moving a bit, whereas mine are not like that, instead they are like that little bubble thing I mentioned.
I normally notice this when I am sitting down or lying down and it began after I did research on als so I'm hoping its more of an anxiety thing too.
Also, it seems like StephG22 pointed out that the twitching sensation is not even noticed by people with als and that it occurs in the later stages of the disease once muscles have been damaged or atrophied.
I hope someone can give me some assurance.
thanks again,
AV
