Newbie Questions About EMG Availability

Ok. I am the newbie. Still have the crazy legs, a few pops in arms, back, side, and shoulder all in a weeks time. I have an experienced neuro apt Friday, but a new neuro said he could squeeze me in today for a new patient visit. I asked if they night do an emg and the lady said the next one of those available in in mid July. I am curious what my other neuro one Friday might do one if I ask? Or do they usually set these things up at a later date?I am so grateful for those who have provided support. God bless you! I just keep playing worse scenario with myself. Like, how will I step down in my management position? Who much money will my long term disability pay so my wife has enough money? I am becoming "that guy" I hate that about myself. My family is making joke about my A-- fears, but somebody has to get it. I imagine myself in a wheel chair watching Big Bang Theory all night on TBS. this is sadSorry.......by the way I bristled walked 2 miles today, seems like less twitching when I sat down n but my leg was sore, I am used to hours of racquetball at a time. Thanks for support and feedback to he annoying new guy

It depends, if you go to a big clinic like the Mayo clinic they'll probably do it in the same visit. I think most neuros have to schedule it outside of the neuro appt. You sound just like me when this started for me. Spent most of my time worrying myself sick as my body twitched profusely but I could still function just fine. I still twitch every minute of every day but its just background noise. You're going to be just fine. Just take your focus off your body and put it on the things you enjoy. I know, easier said than done but that's the key to beating this thing. Profuse, widespread fasciculations is way more common than you think. -Matt
