New Year, Continuing with BFS

first of all, Happy New Year everyone!!! I took a break from this site for a while because I felt like I was spinning wheels in the mud as every post I read and wrote began to sound repetitive. I am at my one year anniversary with BFS and my symptoms are actually worse now than ever. I still twitch everywhere all of the time. My calves feel like I have a popcorn machine inside and the arches of my feet feel like a hungry bag of worms that cant wait to eat the popcorn. Anyway I don't want to bore all of you with what I am sure everyone else has been experiencing too. One quick question that I have is related to the shaky arms and fingers symptom. I have had the tremors before that lasted a long time but it has developed into fine vibrations when I exert any pressure with my arms or fingers. For instance when I hold a fork with my fingers, the fork visably vibrates. When I go to eat something, my entire arm is shaky and I almost feel like I am not going to get the fork in my mouth without missing. Another example is if you were to attempt to pick up a coin from the ground, as you use your index finger and thumb, they dance around like there is some magnetic field preventing you from picking up the coin. Its hard to describe but I feel as if there is a constant vibration every second thoughout my entire arms and fingers. I gave up caffine last year, I don't get anxious as I am generally a calm person. I am just hoping that this new symptom is just a phase and not here to stay. The last thing I need in my line of work are shaky hands!!! Hope the new year brings everyone good health and happiness.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like a pop corn machine. About the shaky hands...I get this sometimes but not too often. I'm sure you are fine.

Your symptoms certainly sound annoying, but not symptoms of anything we worry about. I don't know what tests you've had, but could you have a back injury? Have you tried a chiropractor? Seems like the possibility of a pinched nerve or something.

Hi Jersey DevilI can certainly relate to your symptoms. I have had them for almost 16 months now and they sound very similar to mine. I had never had the vibration thing going on until this week whe it appeared in my L hamstring. I really don't like it one little bit. It's reassuring to hear that you too have this but that all is well with you otherwise.RegardsSimon
