New Twitcher Seeks Detox Advice

Hello all, I am new to this forum and thankful that it exists. Three months ago I became a twitcher... started in my left upper chest and his migrated all over, with the popular calves being the most active. All tests are normal, of course. I wanted to know if anyone has tried a 1 or 2-week detox cleanse, and stayed with it religiously all the way to the end. I sometimes wonder that we contract these bizarre symptoms because there is too much crap in our systems that we can't process, and then something comes along, stress, anxiety, you name it, and tips our bodies into overload and our circuits go haywire. Has anyone tried it? Thanks, I look forward to bonding with all of you along this journey to denial, anger, resentment, and then acceptance.

I'm going to give Walter Burroughs' The Master Cleanser a shot. Hope it works. I'm not going to eat for about 10 days, only freshly made lemonade w/organic B grade maple syrup and cayenne pepper (w/ the occasional laxative tea and salt flush). Already doing the ease-in (no meat, processed sugars or carbs, drinking, smoking, etc). Will see what happens.

Let us know... However, I think that the detox is a bunch of "crap". I got schnooked into one a few years ago.... "waste" of time and money.Anything that works for you.... works for you, so good luck.

Best of luck. Please report back on your results. The first neuro I went to (he was from India...no disrespect intended...but perhaps he has a slightly different perspective) wanted me to detox. No alcohol, caffeine, or sugar. Pretty much water or water with lemon was all he wanted me drinking.I tried it for a while, but eventually caved in to the temptations of beer. After doing my own homework, I lost a lot of faith in the course of action the initial neuro had me on so I never went back to him.I ultimately went to a neuromuscular specialist (American for what it's worth) who gave me a clean bill of health. I doubt the detox thing clears up your twitching, but I'm sure you will benefit from it in other ways.
