Hi I am new and have a couple of questions very worried about Als. My main symptom is tightness in the face sometimes it's so tight that I can't seem to keep my eyes closed. I' m also having a banding feeling arround my leg and when all tis tightness releases it feels like the creepy crawly running down my leg and face. I also feel like I have a foot I need to pickup when I walk but everyone says I am not doin that just feels funny. Then my hand in the rign and piny finger get real wired feeling. I also have been have a tight throat and under tounge and twitching all over. anyone else with these symptoms and not have Als I' m really upset.

Dear Kylee, looks like you are feared so much that it affects your neck muscles. most ptobably you have some neck spinal issue (compressed nerve root or something like that). as for your fingers, this is common thing here because most of us have either full size tendinite/ulnar and/or carpal syndrome, or at least some similar syndrom related to irritability of ulnar/carpal nerve. My point of view is that is due to typing and mouse operation.I never heard about ALS starting with fascial issues, less like that you describe. usually it comes with foot drop (real one, well noticeable for others and causing a person to limp obviously, or with loss of fine motorics of the fingers, or with complete loss of ability to use a limb - but not with parestesias (your banding feeling, tightness and crawling sensation might be related to that type of sensory issues).tight throat is very common for frightened people, tongue twitches mean really nothing (look on Matt BobJazzy, he has it for almost a year without any deterioration), so do not worry about ALS, yuor symptomes are absolutely different.

Kylee, I agree with my friend Yulia, not in the face! What I read about you seems nothing like it. I'm no Dr, but I've read ALOT on it from patients or their loved ones & you have a few sensory issues which do not present with that. Plus you have no weakness. And again, not in the face! But welcome!!! :)
