New Symptoms: Electric Shocks

I've not posted before, but I've visited this site on and off for over two and a half years. I started twitching in May of 2005 with one hot spot. In June, 2005 it became widespread. At times it has almost completely gone away. And I have found many things that help. But right now, I've developed something relatively new. I am getting shooting pains, almost like an electric shock in my left calf. I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar symptom. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did it go away kind of like a hot spot will?

Hey,About a year into bfs I got the electrical shooting pains. You are experiencing neuropathy, which are nerves behaving badly. At first it was just the feet but then it spread out. If I were you I would give it some time before you try anything. Like anything else related to bfs it can come and go, spread out or stick around in one spot awhile. The one thing that works for my electrical nerve pain is Lyrica. It completely took it away. Lyrica is given to people with neuropathy like diabetics. Neurontin is the same thing as Lyrica, Lyrica is just the "new and improved" design. You could try Neurontin first. Neurontin is cheaper.Hope this helpsDD

Thanks inzTwoToneTunes for your reply. In the past I would get this pain only once in a while and just ignored it. But since last Saturday night it's become more frequent. Hopefully it'll soon go away! I kept waiting to post here until I was "cured" and could give people hope. But this really has bothered me and I thought I'd see what others had to say about it. Thanks again.

Got the same since the beginning. Manly external side. This was a year ago. Still there. I get pains to all my limbs, but ,mostly on the right side of my body. No weakness or pins & needles as I'm writing this post.
