New Here with Questions: ALS/MS/PD

Okay, I am new here and have some questions. My journey began 2 years ago when I had my last child and my mom had been diagnosed with cancer. I started with a finger twitch on my right hand. I did the Dr Google thing and came up with ALS< MS>PD. Then more symptoms appeared because of what I had learned each disease had. My OB said I probably had some carpal tunnel going on in my hand and that it would get better. It did. In June of this year I started having a twitch on my left hand, middle finger. It lasted for about 3 days..it ended with my very lower arm twitching like crazy for a few minutes and then it just went away, the whole thing. So on August 1st, the first night of my vacation my palm between my thumb and index finger started to twitch which also moves my 3 trigger fingers. I am completely freaked. I asked my GP about it and he just said it was probably nothing. But is continues day and night. Of course I focus on it because it is driving me nuts what could be wrong with me. My left side is used a lot. I pick up my 35# toddler and hold her solely using that arm and hand. I also walk my 8 month old Great Dane with that hand. My fingers hurt sometimes, and I swear that I feel some sort of vibration in it. I don't have any other symptoms to speak of..I tested my strength to make sure it was not ALS, but as in previous posting that I read, with ALS the muscle has to be completely weakened before the twitching starts to set in. Now, I am worried about MS. Could it be that or could it be BFS ? Please help me!! I am freaking out. Thank You, Julie

It's sounds like typical BFS. About a month ago it seemed like a handful of us here had the thumb/thenar/palm twitch going on, sometimes for months. Acupuncture helped me a bit. Also, I notice a flare up when I PMS, but cutting out gluten has decreased my symptoms significantly, so you may want to look into that too. Most importantly, try to not worry and believe your docs when they tell you it's benign.
