New Here: BFS Suspected

Hello everyone, I am new here and would like to share may story with you. I am pretty sure I have bfs but I am not 100%.Everything started when I was 13 with an eye twitch. In two weeks twitches spreaded all over my body. My doctor told me it is probably benign. When I was 15 one night my left arm started to hurt really bad. Only after few days it got better but never fully recovered not even today. I went to see neurologist that told me it is benign( I did some tests like touching my nose with fingers and so on). Then the pain from my left arm moved across my entire left part of my body. It still feels like I have lack of feel on my left side. For example when I touch my head I can feel more the skin on my right side than on my left side and it feels like my veins hurt. Then aproximately Two years after my left arm started to hurt(when I was 17) I did MRI of the brain. It showed everything was fine. Today I am 20 and still have the same symptoms as back when I did the mri though it gets much worse when I start to worry. Twitching starts all over my body and the left side of my body hurts more. What really helps me is a nice hot bath and exercising. My neurologist never prescribed me any drugs just told me to relax. I haven't seen him since I was 17 when I did the mri. What do you think I should do for example should I try some drugs and what do you think of my story, should I see my neurologist. I felt anxious when I was writting this and the symptoms got much worse.

I had sudden onset bodywide twitching start 16 months ago. I am a 38 year old female. The fact that your symptoms have existed and been documented to exist for such a long time is good new in terms of ruling out the worst. From my experience, the question of whether to get drugs involves deciding whether the symptoms really interfere with your life (other than your concern about them). If they do, there are drugs that help. Klonopin helps me and others can share what drugs work for them if you get to the point that you feel you do need something for the symptoms (not the anxiety). Hot baths and exercise help my symptoms too but I still need the Klonopin. Please post again and explain whether your discomfort is more physical or mental and if the discomfort is physical explain how it interferes with your life. This will help us give better advice.Krackersones

When I was younger the twitches really depressed me. I had some pretty rough times when my left arm started to hurt. Now when I am 20 and when I don't think about twitching and the pain, the twitches and the pain on my left side reduce up to 90%. From what I understand you the klonopin only helps in case you are not anxious.
