New Here: Anxiety & BFS?

I am new here. This is only my second post ever. I have not been offically diagnosed with bfs, but with severe anxiety. My doctor is aware of my symptoms and all he has to say is "wierd, sounds like anxiety." I believe this is a true medical condition. I totally fit the description. The twitches (especially in calves, feet and hands). But, they are everywhere as well. No weakness or anything like that. I am a very anxious person to start with. Something else has been going on too. I have been jerking upon waking in the morning. My arms, legs, back and jaw are affected. My doctor is aware of this as well. He doesn't seem concerned. Has anyone else on here had that?? Is it consistent with BFS? They have changed my medicine as far as SSRI's and stuff. I feel like my entire nervous system is out of whack. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind, I am seeing my family doctor only. He doesn't feel the need to refer me to a neuro, because he has done 2 complete neuro exams and I check out fine with reflexes and strength. Thanks in advance.Sir_Trouserz M>

I'd say your symptoms are consistent with Anxiety not BFS and by the sounds of it getting worse. You say in your post you were an anxious person to start with..let me guess, you noticed a few bad twitches which could of been caused by an endless ammount of benign reasons, then you started your own medical research and got paranoid, making anxiety worse, making twitching worse, making anxiety worse etc etc etc. You have been to a doctor, he hasn't identified anything to be wrong with you other than the effects of anxiety, i'd take his word for it and stop coming to these forums and self-diagnosing via google (look up the word cyberchondria) it will only make matters worse.
