New Anxiety: Throat Twitches

I've been away from a few months....dealing with my anxiety and actually been happy! I was having my normal twitching, numbness, hot spots, but just brushed them off and moved along! However, the past week a very scary new thing has started up.My throat twitches. The muscles in my throat. My lymph nodes twitch. Of course I'm now worried about bulblar. Is that how it's spelled...I tried to erase it from my memory :> But, to go along with this scare is that I've had a constant lump in my throat since then....scared.Sorry guys, I've been doing so well. So I haven't been around here much, it sometimes makes my anxiety peak. But I'm afraid again

I get those too and always think it does feel strange. But it is just another twitch in that big barrel of BFS tricks. I don't like them either although my bane du jour is the shaking hand thing. Not a fan of that. I know there are times when you think how can such freaky, freaky things be benign but turns out they are. And for that I am grateful.

HI, was wondering how are you ;)Throat twitch is the same twitch as others. Scary and unpleasant, but generally harmless. Had it recently, still OK.

neeee :)Scared mouth symptome is when you suddenly found you can not chew your meal. Or move the food ball in your mouth. Or try to sswallow but your throat just shuts instead of opening.Throat is made of muscles innervated with non-autonomous system. those muslces twitch. Throat can twitch too. it is maybe one of the most unpleasant (for me) twitches, but it is not more dangerous or indicative then rest of them.

A twitch is a twitch. You can and SHOULD expect them everywhere, including your throat. Why is this new stuff scary and not the old stuff you are used to? ....because its new of course. Every past symptom has freaked you out just as much, if not more. But at the end of the day these symptoms have just as much to do with ALS (ZERO) as the past stuff. You were doing great living your life and not focusing on these meaningless symptoms. Throw these new symptoms in the same garbage pile as the others. Trust me, they aren't worth it. ;)

Johnny, Gracely, and Volfan, great to hear from you guys! like always.....Ok, reassuring for sure. That there are muscles throughout the throat, and it was only a matter of time before I'd get twitches there. About a month ago I had twitches on my head, like, my scalp.....that was weird. So, I guess I'm scared of this new one because it is close to the mouth, coupled with the lump in my throat. And the symptoms that start in or around the mouth still scare me from something I read a very long time ago and perhaps that is where this fear is coming from. That I never got over that initial fear, whereas I can accept the twitching on the other parts of my body as totally insignificant. -Ryanoh yea, p.s. I'm on FB, etc. etc. and if any of the Veterans on here that I've gotten to know over the past two years almost, send me a PM and maybe we can connect in another forum on this world wide web. I'd also love to show you guys that beyond my anxiety and fear of this and my battle with BFS, I'm a totally normal dude and not the crazy, anxious, scared person I probably sound like on these forums :D)

Oh, yeah, throat twitching is quite common, as is the "globus" sensation that you describe with the lump in the throat. That one is classic anxiety. No worries there. Same sh*t, different body part. :) Blessings, my friend, Sue

That is also typical for us - beside BFs and realted fears we, like Don Quijote, are absolutely normal and intelligent and calm people. That's how obsessive fears work. They just make us wery weak in a single point. Do not worry about having that point. We all have it :)))
