neuro's thoughts re tongue/bulbar onset

hi,

no i did not have full spine mri. i had one of my neck, where all they discovered was a pinched nerve (which was an explanation for neck pain i have had in the past, but not for all this crap), and brain mri (where he saw a cyst. he based that on the location, 'cause i guess they are very common in this particular spot. even told me not to get freaked out if an inexperienced tech looked at it and told me something else) both were without contrast. he did not seem to think and spinal problems were to blame. oh, also isince mine were without contrast, think that makes a difference?

so, still trying to put all paranoia out of my head..easier said that done right!? at the recommendation of a friend of mine who has MD i am getting a second opinion, scheduled may 9. (not that she thinks i have MD or anything terrible, she thinks it will continue to help put my mind at rest, plus he may have other treatment ideas). part of me doesn't even want to go for fear of hearing something less reassuring that my current neuro has to say. but, in my "rational mind" i am pretty sure he will have similar thoughts. if you look at my previous posts, i seem to have a pretty classic BFS onset/situation. any thoughts on all this?
