Neuros Indifference Toward Fasics

I just wanted to let you guys know that despite all of the anxiety our symptoms cause us, the neuros I saw (neuromuscular specialists) weren't really concerned with fasics only. In fact, the guy that did my EMG seemed a bit annoyed...almost like I was wasting his time. He wasn't rude or anything like that, but he definitely seemed pretty bored and indifferent. My take was that he could tell there was nothing wrong with me before he even stuck the first needle in me.Point being...if all you do is twitch, take a deep breath and relax. It's probably nothing. I've read other posts that sounded very similar to this one too, so again, despite the fact that fasics aren't "normal" they aren't anything to freak out over either.

Jeffrey,Thanks for your post. It is exactly what I needed this morning. Apart from recording some fascics on my own EMG, the test was "normal". My father has had the twitches since he was a kid and would also receive a "normal" test should he get one. He is now 73 years new. If twitching were terminal, you he would have been gone long ago. Cheers.... :D)
