OK. This is actually an old appointment. But I was thinking about this and had to share. When I first was dealing with this condition I went to a couple of Neurologists. Well one I went to did a thorough exam: you know the drill (strength tests). Touch your hand to your nose, walk on your heals, etc). After that he told me well I don't know what caused this, but I can tell you it is benign. When I started quizing him on how he knew this, he rolled up his pants leg and showed me his calf twitching!
He told me he had this condition since a he was a med student 25 years ago.So to those who refuse to accept their condition, and that it is benign. Go see this doctor. He is in a NW suburb of Chicago. PM me if you want his info.I guess you cannot get any clearer than a diagnosis from a doctor who actually has this condition. LOL.-43RichyThe43rd
