Hello to all,I wanted to let everone know that has prayed for me that my neurologist says he thinks that I am fine. He wants to do a follow-up in 6 months just as a standard ops thing. He say no clinical sings of weakness, no ALS or MS. He said theses pressent with measurable weakness first, then twitches. Since symptoms can be close for both of these conditions, they must take a lot of things into consideration. But usually MS will show on an MRI at some point where as ALS will not. My MRI of head is clear. They want to MRI again 6 mths later to make certain that lessions have not formed where now they can be seen as when they could not have earlier. Once you have had at least two MRI 6-12 mths appart that are clean the prognosis is NO dieases. He said that also most patients with ALS would not be able to walk into the office. I am able to open a pickle jar, climb a flight of steps, and stand on my toes. Not to metion that ALS does not usually begin bi-laterally! And YES, tongue symptoms can be benign...all very good to thing to know. So, people, listen to your doctors and beleive what they are telling you. Let's all rest assured! I need a vacation now I will tell you. God bless,Anne B.
