Neuro Visit After Twitching - Soon or Wait?

Hi everyoneHow long after first noticing twitching did you all have your first neuro visit? Mine is scheduled for Dec 1st, which will be 2 months after I first noticed twitching, and I'm wondering whether to bring the appointment forward (as my anxiety is bad, especially after reading Dougs post last week). But I don't want it to be too soon as I want him to see as many symptoms as possible, and the longer it goes on for the better picture he can get of whats going on, right? Or is this not the case? Also, if he offers me an EMG, how long would I usually have to wait for this? (I live in the UK, so expect a bit more of a wait....!)Thanks for your help, as always xx

If it was anything bad, you could have seen your neuro at the very first day of twitching to see it. With BFS you will get very strange symptoms and expect your doc to shake his head and say " I don't know WHAT it is, but it is not ALS". The waiting time for an EMG can be from immediately to a few months..I guess he will not even tell you to do one.

Hello YasminI am from London too. Which doctor you suppose to see? Do u have any name or just an ordinary one from a hosptital?

Hi KorikosI'm seeing Dr Kennedy at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital- he's a very good neuro (and he does private work at the Lister hospital too- much faster to see him that way). I saw him 4 yrs ago when I had a scare about something else and he was awesome....
