Need Motivation for Dizziness

I just need some assurance, reassurance, and some motivation . I have had this monster for ten months now, and have read many threads, and stickys. I have one single symptom which seems to be the main reason for coming back, google, net ect... I have re occurring bouts of DIZZINESS that's comes on every 2 to 4 weeks, which can last from 1 week to nearly 1 month. I get it when turning, standing, laying down, and even MOVING my eyes!!!! This IS my kryptonite. How how HOW do you get past this? I have had clear MRI, blood tests, Lyme test, eye tests, several neuro appts. ALL normal, and leave feeling like a *beep* nut lol. The buzzing, twitching, numbness, and sensory (finger) weirdness and such...BRING IT ON!!! But, if someone could please...PLEASE tell me how you got rid of, getting rid of, or which meds help with this dizziness? I have tried zoloft for 2 months, and now amatriptoline now for a month with NO help. My next step is klonopin. ANY advice now is gonna be most helpful. I plan on a full lifestyle change as far as "resetting" my fight or flight system. My wife deserves the man she married, and not this nervous wreck of a human being. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!! My story will update monthly for you and future members. Happy twitching/buzzing/funky feeling bfs mother funking healing!!!!

Have you seen an ear specialist? Any chance this has something to do with your ear canal and not BFS? I've taken Klonopin and had a lot of success. It doesn't make my symtpoms disappear, but it makes me so relaxed that I kind of don't care about them. I'm not sure how it will help dizziness since I don't really get that... yet. I hope you get some relief. Hang in there buddy. -Matt

I get the same thing with klonpin it's the one thing that calms me down with my symptoms. Do you get a lot of aching in your arms and legs that feels better with klonpin?

Funny you say that, I have aching right now in my upper arm and shoulder and yes klonopin helps it for sure. I was just talking to a few people on the chat site that have dizziness as well.

I get the same bouts of dizziness your describing in this post. do you know your average blood pressure numbers? Have you been tested for Vertigo? I know that having low BP can feel like your dizzy. Personally for me, when my anxiety is through the roof, I notice every movement causes dizziness for me. Also, being sedentary really triggers the dizziness. Hope this helps, if all of your blood work and testing came out well then don't fret too much, sounds like a anxiety symptom to me :D)

I thankfully don't get dizziness but Im twitching constantly and my arm and legs ache and always feel like there tremebling internally. Ahh hyper activity twitching nerves suxs!

I got really bad vertigo from November 11-22. I was about 16 months into bfs at that point. That was the only time and I haven't had it since then. I wondered if it was from BFS, it sounds like it is since so many on here seem to experience it. The twitching is what bothers me the most, but I think if I was dizzy everyday like I experienced in November, that would be the worst. hang in there, i hope you can find some meds to help.tanya

Bp is perfect at 120/78. I have seen an ent and had a full audio done. Said he had never seen a more perfect test lol! So were good there. I wonder, will the klonopin help with the dizziness most likely related to the anxiety? Sure hope so. If I can just get these wheels turning and just calm this dizziness, I will begin my quest for the cure lol! Or, at least be a prime example of why bfs is in fact BENIGN and have a new case with more rare symptoms that are still beatable lol. Dizzy dizzy go away. My goal is a complete reversal and document it all for all the bfs worlds pleasure. Maybe even help future newbs bypass the suffering and unessicary worries. A quick cure so to speak :D)

Klonpin is a great drug if you need to calm down if your really anxious and does for me calm down my twitching a lot. I would talk to your doctor and see what he or she says. Klonpin has been a life saver for me sometimes.

Great news! I'll talk to the doc and ask about klonopin and use only when absolutely needed. Then slowly move away from all drugs and be healthy, and happy. Even with a twitch tingle buzz or numbness .... Or two lol.

If I could just figure out this darn dizziness I'd be able to cope lol. But I literally cannot function with it. It is like every time I move, talk, listen swallow, breath! Dizzy! Omg!!!

Just FYI regarding side effects of Klonopin and like medications. Of course for some it will help in the short run.So here...one is looking to get rid of dizzines and the drug can cause it!Check it out for yourself.Sedation, one of the most common Dizziness or loss of orientation Weakness A feeling of depression, thoughts of suicide Headaches Pale skin Confusion Mild Insomnia Hyperactivity, agitation or even hostility (which is contradicting with the above mentioned weakness and sedation but this depends on the person). Chest tightness, or a fast beating heart Problems with memory Blurred vision Skin rashes Loss of appetite Weight changes (some lose some gain, most are unaffected by this) Drooling Dry mouth and/or sore gums. Sweating Runny nose Nervousness Difficulty urinating or urinating more than usual (this can also be associated to weight loss, which is just temporary loss of water). Vomiting

Thanks for the input. I see it may cause dizziness, but I believe it will help with the type of dizziness I have which is much worse. I believe the bfs is buzzing and twitching the inner ear muscles causing massive spells. I'll talk to the doc, but if klonopin can reduce twitching, buzzing, and over anxiety...I'll take it.

got to say i get dizziness alot, movement of my head, when im driving... if i stand up, i put mine down to blood pressure but im not really worried, dizziness is a major symptom of anxiety either way

Yes....there are different contributing causes for dizziness. Some from blood pressure, some from inner ear crystals being jarred out of place, some from a dampness/fluid in the ears, some from clogged or mnuycus in the sinuses. The correct medications can be effective but long term they ALL seem to carry side effects that are troubling. Some need long term anti-hypertension meds since 95% of ALL high blood pressure is what is called ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION (meaning - no idea what causes it) and the medical system is totally stumped as to how to fix the hypertension. When they get it right.....great job. But for chronic conditions.......something else is needed.

On to something here! I'm "embracing" my bfs. Every time I get dizzy, I tell myself...free high lol. Every time I tingle/twitch...I am changing into a superhuman 1 buzz at a time. Rotfl!!! Seriously. I just accept it. All of it. I know this crap now is creating a pattern. Its not als..it's not ms..it's not lyme....it ain't nutn but a little thang guys. First step of a better life. Acceptance. Second step, meditation. Then motivation, and and action. At last...accomplishment :D) :D) ! I'm gonna win, and I hope to inspire all of you to learn your own beast...and conquer! Good night my bfs'rs. Good night bfs...be ready for war.

Some of my patient friends who are deep into new age energy stuff....end of the world as we know it....etc etc....say that this twitching belongs to a positive change in our DNA as we evlove into higher beings. Hey...who knows....maybe I am wrong and that is correct????
