Navigating Neuro Evaluations: BFS Hope

Hope it goes well at the neuro. It's good to have all your questions written down. Hopefully the twitching will ease up soon for you. The less your worry the better it will be. I think if we try to think of BFS as a probable autoimmune condition, that will help. Like your allergies, it may be your bodies way of trying really hard- too hard -to keep you well. So tell your body, thanks, but I feel great, so you can take a break now ;)

One thing I wanted to ask anyone who is going to go to a neurologist soon to do is, if the topic of anxiety comes up, don't let it go without a whole lot of explanantion. What proof is there that anxiety causes daily twitching? What studies have been done to show that? Why do I twitch when I don't feel anxious? How can people twitch almost daily for many years and have it be caused by anxiety? If we are really going to improve the way this is treated, we need to pin down exactly what they are saying and why they use it as a cause when there's evidence to the contrary.

And hey, I'm originally from the Chicago area! It's a great city, but I don't miss the winters. I traded them in for hot, humid Philly summers.
Take care,

One of my goals is to try and get him to make some definitive statements why is he is comfortable this is benign and that being the case, what is his theory then as to what the heck it is that causes this? (Good luck, I know).

Ideally, maybe I can get him to stick me with some more needles.

I also intenbd to ask the what else could this be and who else might be worthy of seeing and why?

We get the dreaded cold winters and hot humid summers. The best of all really :p
