Natural Remedies for BFS?

I was curious whether there are 'natural' remedies that will help BFS...is there some deficiency of iron, or calcium or something missing in our diets that a natural remedy may help?

Calcium and Magnesium are going to help the best when it comes to muscle related things, like twitching. The thing is though, if you dont get the right combo, (they need to be taken with Vit C as well) you dont get the proper absorption. If you are going to go this route, (the natural way is the route I chose, and there are lots of natural things to do, dont get me started lolol...I do not take any Doctor prescribed meds other than an allergy nasal spray which is not related to BFS obviously) then make sure you get a really good high quality, high potency supplement. I take a product called Cal 6 + Mag. It has the Calcium and Magnesium in it, plus the Vit C and other stuff that is needed in order for your body to property absorb the Calcium and Magnesium. If you dont get a high quality supplement that has these other things in it, you will be taking it in vain because it will just pass through your body.~*~Amy~*~

The neuromuscular specialist I see gave me a prescription for B12 shots daily and folic acid. He also told me to take over the counter iron, B6 (never more than 50 mgs a day), and B2. These help with nerve repair. I cannot say this has cured me but I have not gotten any weakness despite 14 months of twitching.

I've been going to a chiropractor that deals with 'wellness' and natural things. She gave me a calcium supply called "Calcifood"..it's a natural chewable wafer. She said that it's supposed to be absorbed better. She says with it, I don't need the other things to take along with it (although I have to admit that I'm a little skeptical). She also gave me a natural product called "Energenics" made by Metagenics. She says it's supposed to help twitching. The bottle says it is a Thyroid Support Formula which makes me a little concerned taking it. I tried one day and got somewhat nauseous. I may try it again, but because I'm going through testing, maybe I should hold off.I hear alot here on the forum about different combinations of vitamins ...I have osteoprosis too so it's good to get calcium in whatever absorbable way I can. Thanks for the info.

Which manufacturer makes the cal6+mag?I take a multi, B6, B12, alpha lipioc acid and a really funky thing by Standard Processes called Cataplex G. And D in the winter.I also stopped eating gluten 2 months ago b/c I was thinking part of my problem was that I couldn't absorb nutrients due to gluten intolerance. I feel a LOT better...can't really say if that's it though.

Cal-6+Mg is the official label. It is manufactured by Douglas Laboratories here in th states. Their website is . I pay $16 per bottle of 250 pills. It has the proper combo of vitamins and minerals so that your body can absorb them. I love this stuff.~*~Amy~*~
