Still hoping this is all something psychological....-may 2013 twitching and pins & Needles-oct 2013 excess saliva feeling, not drooling, just more swallowing and more phlegm-jan 2013 EMG normal, neuro test normal-jun 2014 light swallowing problems with dry food as bread and potatoes, moving/cramping toe (see other topic)-july 2014 no sneeze reflexI'm very allergic to dust. I sneeze all the time. Last week I notices the sneeze would build up, but I couldn't sneeze. The last 2 days I can't sneeze at all and the sneeze doesn't build up as well. Even if I inhale old dust, pepper or pick hair from my eyebrow, which usually makes me sneeze immediately. Any thought on this one? Could this be BFS related? Anxiety? Or should I really start to worrie now... (which of course I do)

Antologia, complete loss of sneeze reflex is a strange symptom really. Sneezing is a non-conditional reflex and involves a hell of neural routes, I mean several nerves, so it ould be interrupted in quite a lot of locations...Do you still sneeze sometimes, I means spontnaneously? If not, it might be worth to see a neuro again (but as far as I remember there was at least one more report here about inability to sneeze).seems like she had never came back, hope her counselling was successful.

Hi Gracely,Thanks for your reply and telling me about this other thread. I could'nt find much about this on google, so I know this is a really strange symptom, not really matching with ALS (thank god) either. I found some cases in which they told about a tumor in the medulla actually. This is not something you want to have, so hopefully this is not the case. I do not sneeze at all, even not occasionally. So strange. I do feel the sneeze building up, very far away. Even that feeling is not what it use to be. Pepper, dust, pinching eyebrow or nose hair, it all won't help. It just doesn't work anymore. I made an appointment with my neuro next monday. I will let you know what he thinks of this.

Hi guys,Just want to inform you all that my sneeze reflex came back after 4 weeks. Don't know what happend, but it matches the other stories about it on this forum. Maybe it is BFS related?Greetz
