I have had the myoclonic jerks where it feels like every muscle in my body jerks all at one time when I am sleepy. I have read that it is normal. My wife and daughter also have them, as well as my cat. That wasn't a joke, when my cat falls asleep in my lap he has 2 or three jolts where all the legs jerk. Hmmmm.. I wonder if animals can get BFS? Would they care?
I also have limbs that will slightly jerk and on one occassion my jaw jerked closed and freaked me out.. I think it is all due to stress and lack of sleep. When I am well rested and worry-free I have almost no symptoms.
