Mycoprotein and Nutritional Yeast Reaction?

Hi everyone!Well, about three weeks ago, I had started adding Red Star Nutritional Yeast to my smoothies and started eating Quorn (a mycoprotein product). A couple of days after, I started having REALLY strong twitching all over my body after a period of less intense twitching. Suspecting that it was the yeast and/or the Quorn (because those were the two new foods I had added into my diet--my twitching gets worse with things I eat), I stopped eating them, and my twitching got less severe along with it!I wonder if foods with yeast/mycoprotein have a connection to muscle fasciculations? After all, MYCOtoxins cause muscle twitching...and Quorn is made from Mycoprotein...what if my consumption of this caused my twitching to get worse? And, I saw something online about Candida yeast causing muscle twitching, and red rice yeast causing muscle spasms and pain...I don't know if food yeast is the same as Candida yeast, but who knows? Maybe it changes form in the body... So, I'm going to try to not consume foods with mycoprotein (easy) and yeast (not so easy) for a couple of weeks, and see if my symptoms get better (or even go away!)

there are folks on this site that think yeast is the cause of their twitches. some have had sucess with anti yeast treatments. do a search on this site and you can follow the threads. good luck. chip
