My Tongue Fasciculations

I have no idea what made me do it but I checked my tongue yesterday and I noticed when I stick out my tongue and use a flashlight there were a lot of fascics all over the surface of the tongue which I don't think I ever noticed before, and I can't feel at all. However if my tongue is just resting inside my mouth there's no fascics of any kind. Are these real fascics or are they just a product of sticking my tongue out? Like how a muscle will start to shake if held a certain way.-AJ

No they're not real fascics. No one is able to keep their tongue completely still, it will quiver. I was worried about this years ago and my neuro told me this. It's normal. Look in anyone's mouth and you'll see their tongue quivers too.
