Today I got an MRI for my lower back pain which lately is killing me.As soon as I was in the machine (no twitches noticed till then) twitches started like crazy all around my body.  Maybe the magnetic field cause nerve stimulation???Any insight about this??edit I just google it and found this:

I've had multiple MRIs, including a l-spine MRI last Sept., and though I felt some sensations in my legs, I've never twitched. I generally have to avoid falling asleep during the process, so maybe my reaction is different from yours. Note that in the Wikipedia entry:"American and European regulatory agencies insist that manufacturers stay below specified dB/dt limits (dB/dt is the change in field per unit time) or else prove that no PNS is induced for any imaging sequence. As a result of dB/dt limitation, commercial MRI systems cannot use the full rated power of their gradient amplifiers."WIkipedia tends to include every possibility, even the theoretical and the one-in-a-million. Did the twitches stop soon after your MRI? And what did the MRI show?

Aoi,yes indeed, they stopped immediately after.I'll get the results of the MRI in a couple of days.Anyway I just found a similar experience:

Well, the findings of the lumbar MRI where not that much, except for a vertebral angioma in D11 which, according the neuro, could be one of the reason of the back pain I am suffering.
