Hi folks,I'd like to share my experience of what I believe to be either BFS or one of the associated peripheral nerve disorders.I spent last year teaching English in South Korea. I'm 24 years old. One day about a month and a half before I came home I started sweating from my hands. This was a very visible sweating that started from the moment I woke up till when I'd go to bed. I already have armpit hyperhidrosis so I knew from the different way it affected me that it wasn't the same thing. That was a bit of a bummer for me, obviously. I also developed heat intolerance when it was hot (I'd feel extremely uncomfortable and sweat from my forehead. I'd also have a lowered threshold for dealing with the cold. I would shiver uncontrollably. So I ended up staying im my room with the air con on. Then a few weeks later I started developing trembling fingers. I also began to sweat from my ass and thighs. Then the day I was flying home the twitches began. Now they are almost everywhere and exacerbated by exercise. I get muscle fatigue too. I can control the sweats and the heat intolerance if I stay in a cool room, but I'm very worried sometimes if I have to go into a new enviroment because it might be extemely uncomfortable. I have to go to lots of job interviews. This is what really bugs me, I think I could deal with just the twitches, because they aren't painful. I've all this since October last year. I've been a busy boy on the internet, as I think we all probably are. I'd be inclined to believe I had Isaac's because of the sweating. I've heard Isaac's is treatable in most cases with anti-convulsants. I'm just worried that it isn't treatable, because I'm sick to the back teeth.I think it is an auto-immune disorder too. Because a week or two before it all kicked off I had a terrible stomachbug, I think aggravated by some weird alternative Korean medicine. A brown liquid that smelled like nothing I'd ever smelled before, tasted vile. "Three bottles, everyday" I only had one. It was probably the worst bug I ever had. So I think that.Mind you, I've had loads of potential causes. I had a rubbish diet, was drinking quite a lot, eating loads of chick and meat, *beep* loads too. Imagine believing I had motor neurons disease because of that! I was quite anxious and smoking a lot too. I do, on reflection, probably deserve it. I also fell on my head at a party and that I think caused sinusitis. Which compounded the strain on my body. Another thing weird thing I've noticed is that my metabolism is really high. I go to the bathroom for a number 2 like 3+ times a day. Metabolism and body temperature are linked too what? You can see the veins on my hands really clearly. I just think whatever is causing the twitches is also causing the high metabolism. I already have a high metabolism, being a bit of a bean pole. Maybe some people don't sweat with isaac's because they have a low starting metabolism and that Isaac's doesn't push them past that point. On doctors; the first doctor I saw thought I might have hyperthyroid, but I didn't have a goiter and the thyroid function test came back normal. The only abnormal blood test that came back was my protein levels, which were high. I told him it was down to the chicken probably. He was pretty puzzled. I've seen another doctor 3 times who's convinced it's anxiety. He put me on beta blockers but they didn't help and made my hands go numb. I go to see a specialist, finally, next month.I think that's everything I can add to the debate at the moment. I'm currently quite chirpy now that I know I'm not going to die.Best wishes everyone.
