Muscle Twitching and Stomach Gas

My upper-ab muscle twitching seems to get worse when I am full of stomach gas--does this make any sense? Could stomach gas cause pressure on the inner musclcular surface, e.g., and augment the twitches?

THanks!

What are you eating girl??? If you have gas that commonly and it "may" be bothering or affecting your BFS symptoms, maybe you should think about eating something a little different from now-on, or at least have a good fart once in a while and relieve that bloating
Oh that's right, girls don't fart... they "fluff"

Seriously now.... if you can feel yourself bloating, or as you said, "are full of stomach gas", you might want to consider changing your diet, 'cause that's not normal girl :)

I've had excessive belching problems for awhile now, probably at least three months, and twitching that started just about three weeks ago. I haven't noticed any relation between twitching and belching, but I do think that lately I have come to worry more that I might be mistaking the belching as being related to having trouble swallowing. I tend to get relieved when I look over symptoms online, though, and don't see excessive burping listed as a symptom of anything more serious than GERD (can anyone corroborate that belching isn't a symptom for ALS or cancer/tumor or something bad like that?).

Just went in to see a GI doc yesterday and he gave me some trial prescription of antacid-type medicine that I'm hoping will clear things up.
