I have a strange thing going on in my forearm (upside forearm)There is a muscle that is stiff/ hard in my forearm. It's over a length of 7 centimetres.Just one place where the muscle is hard, increased muscle tone... is this spasticity or does some else get this?

Its not be rude or anything, but why do you keep asking about all these ALS-related questions? This is a BFS-forum, not an ALS-forum. If you got ALS then please find another forum, as this one is about BFS. With that said, I will underline that we cant tell you what dx you have. There are doctors for that. Go find one, ask him...

And why is it so? If you think you got spacity then talk to your doctor. Nobody here - and I mean nobody - can answer your question. Only a real-life doc can do that. But I guess you wouldnt be here if the docs told you, you where REAL ill. The reality is that you ask about every symptom that can be found in MS or ALS. Clonus, spacity - you name it. If you are not a doc yourself, you wouldnt have the slightest idea what a clonus is if it wasnt becourse of the internet. Do yourself a favour and stop googling. Nothing good comes out of it. Stay away from the net, man, before you get OCDed. Its much much more serious than BFS...

You're rightBut because my hands shake when I wake up I wonder if this could be clonus?Because my arm gets stiff in one place, I wonder if this is spasticity?Or that other people have these kind of symptoms as well

Lostboy,We all wonder the same things because we all have weird stuff going on with our bodies. As others have said, only a doctor can give you the answers you seek and even then it may only be speculative or one doctor's opinion. Doctors have told me things only to have another contradict it. When I asked about the contradictions, I was told doctors disagree about a lot of things. So much for absolute certainty and total reassurance. It is very hard to come by. As far as shaking and stiffness, I get shaky and I have read lots of people post about stiffness. If the nerves are acting up you can easily get all the symptoms you describe. Knowing what is causing the symptoms and what will happen in the future is something that an experienced doctor can best comment on. You should realize that the fact that people here have all you have and more and are fine gives you hope that you are fine too. Focus on the hope and not the worst case scenario. This is a choice everyone makes each day.Krackersones

Hi LostBoyIf you look at some of my old posts you will see that I developed this weird stiffness/ awkwardness in my R leg about 6 months after I developed BFS. I still have it now. You will see from the replies that I got when I asked for others' advice about this, that there are a load of other people with BFS who also get these odd symptoms.RegardsSimon
