Muscle Pain and Twitching with Cold

On two occasions now when i have had a cold or something similar, the muscle pain and twitching goes off the scale. Its as if the already hypers sensitive nerves become even more sensitive only to calm down again when you start to feel better.Has anyone else experienced this when they have become ill .

I had the flu roughly 7 or 8 weeks ago and the twitches and buzzing feet have doubled. Nothing calmed down when I started getting over the flu, as a matter of fact the increase I experienced has made me consider medication again.Sorry I'm sure that doesnt help much, but that is just what happens with this cr*p of a syndrome.Robynn :D)

In "BFS in a nutshell" it is brought up that an illness makes symptoms worse. I am not sure why. Some point to that as the reason that BFS is autoimmune in nature. When your sick your autoimmune system is in hyperdrive to fend of the illness and your nerves are getting ramped up as a result. To this day I am still undecided if BFS is an autoimmune process. It would make sense except that then prednisone(sp) would decrease twitching(it doesn't). Either way when your defenses are down the enemy will attack. When I'm sick I twitch and cramp more. Helps me feel more connected to all BFS'ers :) Misery loves companyDD
