Are MRI results sometimes misleading? By that, I mean that the radiologist's "Impression" of my MRI being "bulging disc subtly touches the undersurface of the left nerve root at L4-5" and "minimal undersurface nerve root contact to the right of midline at L3-4" would be somewhat different if he was looking at a scan of my back taken while I was standing and not laying down.
Would the bulge be more significant or the contact with the nerve root be greater if my back was seen while it was at work and not at rest?
