Missing Magnesium on Labwork Tests

I got a copy of my medical records to see what all has been tested bloodwork-wise. The doc tested many things, but I noticed that magnesium wasn't on the list. Thought this was interesting. Now I've taken mag supplements in the past with no changes (I think that dose was between 200 and 300) Anyways, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their labwork results (lack of testing) and how much magnesium is everyone else taking if you are taking supplements......Thanks.

Hmm I tried taking magnesium pills but it didn't change anything. My last bloodwork showed that my magnesium was fine anyway... But nevertheless a lack of magnesium can cause muscular problems (actually rather cramps than twitches).

My experience over Magnesium supplement is excellent. I'm taking natural spring water reached with Magnesium on a daily basis. That product is available only in our region, I think so. It's name is Donat Magnesium (Internet address: ). I never have cramps in my legs.

Hi there. I think that the fact that you took magnesium supplements and it did not improve your symptoms is enough proof that, in your particular case, magnesium deficiency wasn't responsible for your problem. So, whilst it may have been preferable to have had the blood test initially, it probably isn't worth persuing now. Whether or not someone has magnesium deficiency, there is of course the school of thought that magnesium may reduce symptoms. And again, sounds like you tried it and you were amongst the group of people for whom it was unsuccessful. All the bestSimon
