Mg-Induced Weakness and Fatigue

MG produces fatiguable weakness (that's why it is worse towards evening). Thus, I'd tend to vote against an MG self-diagnosis. It also tends to make the necks of its suffers fatigue to the point of the head not being able to be held up straight.

Thyroid tests are done for a lot of reasons, as the thyroid can form the center of a whole lot of malfunctioning in the body. Testing for TSH, a general indicator of thyroid problems, is cheap and fast, and is a standard test for general health, almost like taking a blood count. I've never heard it included as an indicator of MG.

The common test of interest for MG is acetylcholine antibody (AChR).

My neuro just called me. Clean MRI's and bloodwork. Says nothing serious. I see him next week for a follow up. Says we might try physical therapy and/or anti inflammatories for my hand. EMG showed borderline carpal tunnel.

I do have some arthritis and dengeration(spelling) in my back, but that would not cause my twitching.

So all in all, good news.

Go-ahead. "I told you so 17Wildcat17"

Of course, I'm not surprised.

Shall we cue up the happy dance music? ;)

Now, you promised...you're gonna forget about MS now, right, right? RIGHT?

Blessings and mucho congrats,
Sue
