Medical Tests Cost ~$900

In my case EMG and nerve conduction test. Probably took about an hour total. Not positive about this, but just got Blue Cross payment schedule on mine and best I can figure from their confusing columns of numbers.... $900 ! Of course it's the usual deal where that's what the neuro charged but being "in the program" he was only "allowed" much less, and in the end I end up paying almost nothing for it myself...but still... $900 ???(Ok you Subjects of The Queen....contain your mocking and laughter at our idiotic American heath care insurance system ! )

I think mine was around $900 also but my insurance paid for it all.

I know this is going to sound crazy... and the insurance did pay for most of mine, but both my EMG/Nerve Conduction Study were $3,000. Interestingly enough my neuro was out of network at the time, but we ended up only having to pay the decutable which was $500. I kind of wonder why mine cost so much more than yours, but the neurologist, who was an attending phsyician and professor at NYU Medical Center, did the test herself so she could tell me the results right then, so maybe that I had something to do with it. One thing is for sure, no matter how you slice it, ITS EXPENSIVE!
