Hi Sir_Trouserz

I used to get lots of pain/cramp until i started a med called Gabapentin.
This med helped me a great deal, and give no side effects. It may be worth a mention to your GP.

I read about it on.
http www. pnhe info. Our Uk site for pnhe, Peripheral nerve hyper excitability, or BFS. This is the same condition.

I hope this helps. Take care.

With me the cramp frequently affects my calves first thing in a morning especially when I stretch out upon waking up and it's far more effective than any alarm clock at getting you out of bed. These morning cramps will often last for some weeks before subsiding and it can be months before they reappear. There seems to be no apparent reason why these painful cramps come and go in this manner.

Chris.

Considering how you where treated at the Newcastle R.I you deserve a positive up turn in your life, so it's good to hear that the Gabapentin is helping to reduce your symptoms.

Thanks for all the good advise. I checked out tha PNHE web site and it has a lot of really good information on it, so thanks for that Chris! My hands and feet ache first thing in the morning so it's helpful to have more information on what works. Thanks again and best of luck to all!
