Magnesium Therapy for Tremors/Jerks

I have both the rapid tremors (constant twitching) and the sudden strong, visible muscle jerks -- if don't keep up with my magnesium therapy.

Seems like both are part of the same pattern.

I have not thought about this too much, but I think that:
` when I am still, things tend to quiet down and
` when I'm up and about, using my muscles, then the twitching increases, at least initially.

The exceptions though are:
(1) lying down at the end of the day when I'm tired -- As I initially start to relax, the fasciculation is often more noticeable than when I was up and about.
(2) exercising -- Fortunately, my tolerance for exercise is still good, and if my electolytes are balanced, exercise actually seems to help.

Sounds contradictory, I know, so I don't know if this answers your question or not...?

My calf iwitching definitely fires up after jogging, my hand twitching gets worse when using the computer, and even my chin twitching can can get kicked off by "hard" coughing.
Hope this helps!

Hey, Maisy. Sometimes twitches just fire off, and other times they get excited by a movement first...totally normal with bfs. I have experienced it many times.

You know, Maisy, you have to get rid of your dark thoughts about Parkinson's, just because your mom contracted it. It isn't relevant to you. I don't believe in generational illness, it is just another word for fear. Words have power, for good and bad. I read a book once about a tribe in Africa, where a powerful witch doctor was able to make people die, just by telling them that they would. Some of the tribesman believed so deeply in in his power, that they would shut-down physically only from a single phrase. It sounds ridiculous, but that is the power of the mind.

If we extrapolate from this extreme example, and apply it to the nebulous world of chronic health, we can see how dangerous this might be. We can actually "word-curse" ourselves into either being unwell, or feeling unwell. Contrarily, if we affirm our life with healthy words, and healthy thoughts, then we have the power to revolutionize our beleaguered selves.

I think it is important to disavow such negative thoughts. It is not burying your head in the sand, as some would suggest, but rather embracing the wonderful life that you do have. Yes, shyt does happen, but that is not the norm, and it needn't concern us when we physically, and not in peril.

You are Maisy, born from two life-forces, but a life-force unto yourself, a life-force that is connected to infinity. Now that is power. :D)
