Hi appletwitches, I haven't yet, but heard that twitchingstinks does and it works for her. I am waiting on a reply as to how much she takes as I would like to try it. I didn't test low in this area in bloodwork, but I figure I might as well try it if it's working for someone...I think there have been some on here who have tried it and it hasn't really done much....RainCat is taking mag-phos and says it has helped him considerably....

I didn't have any short term positive effects from magnesium, but I'm pretty sure I'm deficient nonetheless.Blood tests are not a reliable way to test for magnesium deficiency, since your body must keep the serum levels in a certain range or you die. The body then drains magnesium from organs and all the cells, depleting the rest of your body so you can survive. One thing is, I think smaller doses more frequently are better than large doses, since magnesium is a diuretic and too much of it can actually cause you to lose magnesium.

Thanks Johnny999, not that I doubt you, but how do you know this? My doctors said they would check for that in my bloodwork because low levels could cause twitching..it makes me mad that they being Dr's would tell me this, if what you say is true, kwim? although I am not suprised, it's not like I think doctors are God, I have always been one to say that as a patient we have to take some control of our own healthcare, based on what yousay, I have a lot of hope now that magnesium might work for me.

Thanks Johnny999, I have had the bad diet you speak of and the depleaters.... I would definately say that I am probably deficient as well, I am pregnant though, so I guess I should start with diet and then supplement after the baby is born. Thanks for the insightTanya

Hi i tried Magnesium (250mg) for about a week and found they worked for me quickly but have had to stop them a got a neurologist appointment and dont want the to have any bearing on the appointment. Cheap to try around 2.50 for 100

I didn't test low but they say the Mg test is not really reliable. I read an article about a certain Mg test that should be ran if it is suspected. The Mg worked for me. Nothing else did.

Hey guysIt came Magnesium Citrate 100mg per capsule, I will take 3 capsules (300mg) everyday for a month however because I am due my Neurology and EMG in a few months I will stop before hand as I don’t want it messing up my result as xtremx stated.Wish me luck guys I really want it to work*****Magnesium plays an essential role in maintaining proper bone mineralization.
