Magnesium Citrate: My Experience

I'm doing magnesium citrate after researching the most absorbable forms (magnesium oxide for example is cheap, but is nearly non-absorbable). While I can't say it has cured me, it seems to have helped in some way. I buy mine bulk in the bag from and mix it into things.

For sure, I know my diet was deficient in magnesium versus the US Govt's RDA, so I figured I'd at least bring mine in line.

I dont know if I have BFS...so I cant be a great help.

but as soon as my twitching started.

I bought calcium and magnesium.

I currently use:

1000 mg of calcium
200 mg of Vitamen C
750 MG of magnesium

and I havent had really any twitches outside of my thumb.

Mag also makes the tummy upset

I take the pills..others take different forms of mag.

supposively it helps the nerves a lot.

I take magnesium as well as a vitamin B supplement and my twitches has subsided a bit. Or I am just not noticing them cause I am focusing on my tingly toes and cramped calves! haha

Spread your magnesium dose out over the day to avoid digestive problems. Most forms of magnesium will give you the trots if the day's regimen is taken at one time!

Slow-Mag was recommended to me. It has never stopped the twitching, but it does reduce the twitches. I go on and off of it. Probably should stay on it.

Hope this helps.

no effect for me yet either and i have been pretty diligent in taking the liquid nano stuf for a couple weeks at least.. supposed to give me 100% of elemental magnesium daily and be readily absorbed.

i am about to give up on it and see if there is a change.

My doc prescribed magenesium oxide, and I noticed an improvement right after taking it.

But, I have to say that it could also be the fact that I finally realized I didn't have a dreadful disease and the symptoms subsided (due to the reduced stress of not worrying).

Overall though, magnesium seems to help us BFS sufferers...

Almost none of ingested magnesium oxide is absorbed. If you ask your doc, he/she should be able to confirm this on a bit a research.
