Love of Music - Ipod Obsession!

This post may seem kind of off topic, but I received an ipod for Christmas and it has become somewhat of an obsession. I love it! I am down loading music from itunes like crazy - old funny songs I used to listed to in high school - as well as loading it up with my favorite CD's. I have this awsome speaker port thing that I put the ipod in so my kids can enjoy music too.

My point here is that although I am generally really up beat about my BFS condition and live without any lingering fear, this ipod has entirely helped to take my mind off the BFS. I'm thinking that if I had it during those early scary weeks and months of twitching it would have been a welcome distraction.

Hi Ava,
Glad to hear you love your ipod. My Bday is right around the corner, and I've made it clear to my hubby that all I want is an ipod! I can't wait to start downloading!

What takes my mind off twitching is making love! Nothing like good sex to focus your concentration somewhere else. It's great exercise, lots of fun. Gets the heart pumping, improves oxygen flow, causes release of dopamine and serotonin. Let's you know that someone else cares about you.

Can't beat that!!!

Hi Amy,

My husband bought the speaker at the apple store - I think its a Bose speaker and it is curved in shape. They make a number of these speakers and I know the one he bought was around 250- $300. I keep it on my kitchen desk and put the ipod into it (it charges the ipod while playing music). The music is super clear and easily fills 3 very large rooms with tunes. This is how I use my i-pod most on and off throughout the day so I'd say the speaker is worth the investment.

I've got mine in green - funny how the color is so very important!

Enjoy!

Green would have been my first choice, but my local best buy only had blue and silver (I love the blue too, so I was very happy with my second choice)

Too funny, right after I posted yesterday, my husband was reading through one of his business magazines (he's into tech trade mags cuz of his work), and he came out of his office to show me an ad for the Bose ipod speaker-dock. I said 'I bet that's what this gal on my board was talking about'...and sure enough-it was.

So....I told him that since the ipod was my Birthday present--the speaker dock can be my Valentine's present. Of course--he doesn't mind because he's going to steal my ipod half the time anyway!

Talk to you later--
Amy
