Hi Everyone:I suffered with BFS starting 8 years ago. I lost 2 1nd 1/2 years of my life due to anxiety and fear over ALS and numerous other neurological diseases. After 2 and 1/2 years I started to believe that this syndrome was truly Benign. Since then life has been the usual. I still have bouts of twitching but I never obsess and it is much more acute. Looking back at it I am almost certain it was my bodies way of dealing with the constant stress I was under, 3 yound children, running my business, buying a house, getting close to 40 and so on.Finding this site help reduce the anxiety BFS causes and probably help me on my way to a recovery. I like to check in every now and then to pass along my story so that any new sufferers of BFS will hopefully accept the benign nature of this frightful condition. 8 years later still playing hockey, running, swimming and more. Life is still stressful but I don't worry about my health as much.Good Luck Everyone - believe doctors when they say you are fine and get out and live life.
