Living with BFS: My Experience

I have had twitches for about a year. I have had two EMG's and an MRI as well as a clinical exam. All were fine, and the neurologist said it was BFS. The twitches bothered me for the first 6 months, and really caused a lot of worry. Thankfully I haven't thought about them much for the last several months, even though I can get them almost anywhere in the body. I know I have been lucky to be able to put the worry aside. I have one question for the forum. I have been noticing a rapid twitch around my left rib cage. I get it about 2-3 times per day. The fasciculations are almost violent, almost as if someone poked me gently but rapidly with their finger. Has anybody else experienced this?I am assuming that it is just a fasciculation, but sometimes I start to think that it is from inside my rib cage rather than in the muscles/nerves outside it. Can anybody shed any light on this? Has anybody else experienced it? By the way, it's not my heart, it's a bit lower than that, almost at the bottom of the rib cage.

It's just BFS.I have it everywhere, also there... The flesh indeed is héavily "pulled" up and down.(when I sneeze, I twitch for 5 min in that spot....)Don't worry; "just" veryyyyyyy ANNOYING.

Oh yeah! 2-3 per day? That is nothing :) I twitch around my ribs far more. Lene: Exactly, sneezing cause my abdomen/rib cage muscles twitching everytime..and so does it for my wife who also twitch more than is normal.

Twitching under my left rib cage is and has been a hot spot for me for a long time. Sneezing, working out or anything can set it off and make it stay for a while. Very common with bfs.Mary
