Living with BFS for Two Years

Hi,I've got BFS about two years ago and somewhat get used to it (in big part thanks to this forum), run two EMG tests, ton of bloodtests, two neuros - and they both say - BFS.Usually I've had a twitching that was coming to one (ore more places) and then was gone - sometimes in minutes, sometimes in hours, last week I've started to have twitching in my upper leg and they are minor - but very steady, every second or so and now I'm seven days into it - question is it also consistent with BFS?I've also noticing more twitching in general - but this maybe because I'm paying more attention.Anyone?Thank you,Dennis

Yes, that is consistent with BFS. If the twitching is rhythmic and steady as you say, be sure you're not just feeling your pulse. If your EMGs were clear then you have nothing to fear at all.

Hi,thank you for your replies, I'm still getting used to it and flare-up like I have now is something that I do not like. Now it is three weeks in a row twitching in the same place. The thing is I can't find any correlation between what caused this flare - I did not change any of my habits, all electrolytes are normal, etc. Does it make sense to go to Neuro again?Thank you,Dennis

Hi Dennis, usually many of us have flareups in the wintertime... didn't you have any flu in the meantime? it usually causes flareup within 10-14 days after acute phase (just had it recently, also with a hotspot lasting for several days in a row)Hotspots are known to be very stubborn sometimes - weeks and month of steady twitches, then boom- relaxation...
