Probably not. But there are...fibromyalgiaBurning Mouth SyndromeLime DiseaseGulf War SyndromeThe common link seems to be real symptoms that have been attributed to psychological origins and have been otherwise controversial. I heard a doctor tell me fibromyalgia doesn't exist, for instance.I think the human population has always had a variation in "healthiness" that is being noticed now because of better communication. With our western Disease Model, we can't accept the fact that some people are just wired differently. There must be a disease. We must Get to the Bottom of It All.Has anyone had or heard of any hard-to-diagnose disease that has had a problem being accepted by mainstream medicine?

Yep. It has also been called "Soldier's Heart" because soldiers would come down with vaguely cardiac-related symptoms for which no cause could be found. (I'm sure many were suspected of malingering.)There is also used to be called "neurasthenia."

As far as I know "Geographic tongue" means that you have lighter and darker spots on your tongue that makes it look like a map with seas and lakes and stuff - a benign condition. Well, I had such a spot for a couple of weaks, but now it's gone. I didn't even know that there's even a name for that, lol.
