Light Flashes In Eye: Visit Eye Dr?

Does the light in your eye come and go? This could be an opthalmalgic (sp?) migraine, or an optical migraine. These are harmless. Have you been to an eye doctor?

Also, floaters can cause flashes of light. 12Drifter12s are harmless, but when they "bump" into some of the optical nerves in your eye, in can produce a brief pinpoint of light...just for a few seconds...

Try the eye dr...that may help with your eye.

Thanks for the replies. No, I have not been to a neurologist but did go to a doctor nwhen this started who told me to exercise and take vitamins! I was diagnosed with optimal miagrains (cant spell either one) around 5 years ago with the lights in my left eye which come and go from approx. 5 burst a day to maybe a month with none at all. My legs just feel like they are so stiff or tense all the time. My worst time is when I get out of bed. If I stand for any length of time, my legs get really tight, ache, and I feel like I'm standing with all my weight on my heels (I'm male 6'0 tall and weigh 185). My first real symptom was the backache, then wierd feeling in my legs like someone could slap me on the back and knock me over (but they can't), then a really bad backache, then full body twitches that started in the left eyelid and left leg for a month or so and then spread everywhere. During this time, I had really bad exercise intolorence and stayed tired all the time. Now, I rarely twitch but have that feeling in my legs all the time. The exercise intolerence seems to be better but I still wake up feeling like I haven't gone to bed! It just feels like my muscles are really tense all the time especially when I'm standing. Thanks in advance for any advice.
