Leg Twitching, Numbness, Cramps

Does anyone else just get problems in one leg? Twitching started in the left leg 5 months ago (have been body wide twitching 10). Knee feels odd from time to time but know I have an old ski injury.Lately have had fourth toe feeling numb (not a mortons neuroma) and now this leg is crazy twitching with mild cramps today. Not huge charlie horses but if I scratch my othet leg using the big toe for example I will feel mild residual pain in the calf after this. I know cramps common In bfs but in one leg only? Thanks

Ok this is really getting me down now. I'm sorry to be such a bore but please does this sound benign?History of left leg:Starts twitching after I got out of bed on holiday August 13. The thigh was twitching so much the whole leg was shaking.Knee felt weird so went to neuro (1st time) who said all fine. Physio says I'm stronger in right leg than left but not clinically (Ie still 5/5). Also I ripped the ligaments 15 years ago skiing so knee is weaker. Strain it testing it but after a few weeks it's fine and I forget about it. Twitching subsides a bit after lots of twitching in that leg.I also get sciatica in this leg from time to time and it was very bad after an op I had in october. Then before Xmas I notice my 4th toe feels weird - not numb as such but can press under it and it clicks and twangs like a guitar. GP and neuro (3rd visit) says local but not mortons neuroma as no pain.Over last few weeks this leg is twitching more and I'm starting to get word cramp feelings in the calf - not full cramps but semi cramps. Mainly when standing or walking but not at night (which worries me).Leg just feels weird - can't describe it but still strong as far as I can see.obsessing and have measured my legs and the left ever so slightly smaller less than 0.5cm) but I'm guessing that's ok as non dominant leg.I don't want to be a bore and appear like I'm not helping myself it I'd appreciate any comments.Do you think these symptoms are all related? Do I need an EMG? Neuro still says no but can this appear that my symptoms are progressing? Also I'm twitching more now in back, ribs and shoulders which is giving me huge anxiety. Thanks

With this much anxiety and this going on you DESERVE an emg. Get one. Truthfully, it sounds like you are paying a lot of attention to many things on your body, none of which sound serious. Try to relax. Emg does give peace of mind. When I get doubts I chant my normal result to myself.

I second 100% of what FernFinnegan says. No, you don't need an EMG from a medical standpoint but you do need one from a mental standpoint. Also, yes it's normal to have everything concentrated to one side. The fact you had sciatica and an operation makes me think this has something to do with it.

Thanks bothThe problem is the neuro has said I don't need one and I'd have to pay for it myself. If this carries on I'm going to go back but he's recommending I see a podiatrist which I'm going to do.All my reflexes are normal as are my strength tests. Do you think this is nothing to be worried about?

Do not think these things sound related to anything benign or sinister. Just a few random differences in your body. The money spent on eMg may be the best $$ ever spent.

Might be worth reading my previous posts as we seem to have some similarities in symptoms. My twitching is predominately left leg but I have left toe weakness and some calf atrophy all related to back issues (including history of sciatica 15 years ago and now spinal stenosis). I'm glad I had an EMG and back MRI as they showed I had nerve damage in my left leg related to my back. Those tests were critical for peace of mind.
