A lot of this lately here on the forum - must be the effect of global cooling causing this colder than normal winter (for those of us in the N hemisphere). Yes, yes, achy stiff crampy muscles presently appearing in the lower back and thigh. It is funny that they Dx you 'you have benign cramp fasciculation syndrome' then the next time round say that it isn't a true cramp because a true cramp doesn't allow any movement what-so-ever. Hey, who named this thing anyway? It wasn't me. We should all get together and give it a better name (it may be difficult if we leave out all curse words though).Chris - I find I get some of the worse cramps out of a sitting or reclining position - the inactivity and lack of circulation makes it worse. Try a few gentle stretches and small warm-ups before you go from sedentary to active and see if it helps.
