Left Leg Pain After Gym Workout

Hello,I have for the past 3-4 weeks pain in my left leg, that started after I had a workout in the gym. The ortho told me it's a strain on the muscle, but I in that few days since I had twitching in my uper lip for a week, and a fear of ALS becasue is searched the work "mucsle twitching". I went to a neuro a week after and I told him about my fear, he checked my reflex in the body and told me to go the beach and enjoy life. I calm down in the last two weeks..But, a month later, I still have some pain in my knee, ankle, quadriceps and have pain after I walk. I don't think I feel any weakness, my left leg is the weaker leg generaly. and yes I had twitching in my knee the other day and in my thigh..I don't think I had ankle pain, only after I read a guide about ALS and try to jump on my left leg to check if I have ALS.Sometimes I feel stifness but it's not all the time..I know that probably I have nothing to worry about, but the doubt is eating me and so is the anxiety that maybe somehow I have ALS. Is what I'm feeling in my leg sound like anything I should worrie about?

No it does not. This seems exactly like the symptoms BFS makes and ALS doesn't make. ALS is a "silent" disease in the sense it robes you of your strength but you don't even know it (I've read a few biographical books that ALS patients wrote). What you have is very similar what I have, I am struggling with foot arch pain, ankle pain, hip pain, thumb joint pain, muscle aches pain that do not go away for 1 year! If this would be ALS I would not be walking any more. The only type of pain in ALS (before you are severely ill) is cramp pain. My toes do that immediately when I point them down. Also for 1 year. So this is also BFSC (cramy fasciculation syndrome). You sound exactly like BFS sufferer. I can only say you should not be worried by this. I got a new joint pain in my finger today and I told myself I am good for 1 year with it. So slow does the pain shifts. Not everybody here has pain problem, but many do. And it is the pain like you describe. It should last a day or two, but it lasts months. Sorry, I can not be of more help, but this is no ALS pain. ALS is painless untill the later stage usually, because only the motor neurons die, not the sensory ones, they work ok.

I get pain in my right inner ankle/calf as well. The pain feels like a strained muscle or the feeling as if I pulled something. My twitching has progressively gotten better but I still get the pain. Is this normal? I hope so because I was diagnosed with BFS this past July.

The ALS cramps are constantly or it goes away from time to time?I don't really have cramps, I feel a strain on the mucsle and sometimes stiffy leg, which I read it related to BFS. But yet again, I do have a feeling of some kind of strain on the ankle on the knee and some pain in my toes from time to time..I didn't do an EMG test, the doctor send me home after he checked my reflex and that's it.

if your dr sent u home and said dont worry, then guess what u have nothing to worry about...as for pain no als is not a painful disease nor is it a disease of twitching...im a 18 month twitcher and i can tell u that my feet, calves and thighs get sore, stiff and fatigued very often...its nothing sinister just bfs.... :D)

Is it possible that a muscle strain in the leg can bring alot of twitching? I read alot about BFS but I didn't see any saying about that. I know that axiety do, and I'm pretty anxieous guy so..
