Hi guys~~ I just had a fast question abot something I just had. Wow, this board is great for when you get in a panic,it's like my total therapy! In a recent post, I was describing how I've been having problems lately with my left hand. Some twitching, but more pain and some weakness, such as when I try to lift something heavy or pour milk from a full gallon, it feels painful right around the knuckle, and like I don't have the ability to do it. I'm doing most things, but I'm aware of it, as it will hurt when I turn a doorknob, things like that. Anyway, today I had to go to my daughter's school to drop off some stuff she did for a big project, and one of the things was this huge poster board made of foam, it was really big and bulky. I carried it down with my left hand, and it wasn't so much heavy as straining and bulky. Anyway, everything felt ok and then as I went to go and sign out in the front, I noticed on my left hand that my pointer finger was going crazy for a second. It was really twitching back and forth, actually it was kind of going up and down. It really freaked me out, and I even said to the lady behind the counter, "look at my finger twitching"!! She was kinda laughing about it, and so did I, but really inside I was in a panic. I got to the car, and called my neuro to make an appointment, cause I'm sick of waiting for myself to do that sleep study, I just said that I needed to come in and ask a few questions about recent symptoms, and see if I can get some reassurance. Anyway, I notice that those fingers especially on the left hand tremor like that sometimes, but then sometimes get forceful like in this incident. Does this sound familar to anyone? If I am having twitching, and now some weakness in that hand, that would point more towards als, right? I mean, what other things could cause this?? There seems to be alot of soreness around my knuckle area, like I sprained it or something. But, I was wondering if anyone could relate to the tremors after carrying something. Wow, it's always something!! Thanks so much, Val
